The set opens on the town. Akureyri spreads along the shore of Eyjafjörður with the mountains close behind. From the air you can pick out the harbour where the cruise ships tie up, a short walk from the centre.

Then it goes out onto the water. A humpback surfaces below a line of snowy peaks and another breaches clear of the sea. A wooden boat of the kind that sails from Húsavík sits beside a raised white flipper. A puffin closes that part of the set: the Húsavík RIBs pass their island from about mid-April to mid-August.

After that comes the road east. Goðafoss appears at sunset as a wide horseshoe of falling water, and Dettifoss pours grey into its basalt canyon with a rainbow in the spray. Around Lake Mývatn, a crater ring stands out from the moorland and mud pools steam on a bare orange slope.

The set closes where most long days here end. Forest Lagoon sits at dusk, its pools terraced into the birch slope above the fjord, and the northern lights arc over snow on a clear winter night.
